This book really didn’t do it for me. I guess I’m just not a fan of the bully trope & find it really hard to route for the love interests’ relationship. I see this book as one I may have enjoyed more when I was in secondary school. I couldn’t stand Jared for most of the book & how he’d always try to make it seem like Tate was the problem. Tate is not perfect by any means but she didn’t deserve that. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes every time Tate sympathised with Jared or would hold on to the person he used to be. Anyone willing to go to the lengths he went to embarrass her did not deserve a chance. Also, the intimate scenes with them weren’t great. I think I enjoyed the tension between them before they had sex more than once they did and after. I’ll be honest, I can see myself reading the next book in the series for the sake of continuity & fomo rather than an actual desire to read it & enjoy it.
