Holly Pointe & Mistletoe by Cindy Kirk

4.0

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Who wouldn't want to live in Holly Pointe? A quaint little community where everyone is genuinely nice, helpful, and really gets into the Christmas spirit? Sign me up! Holly Pointe & Mistletoe is my favorite book, so far, from author Cindy Kirk. The characters were relatable and normally flawed. What I mean by that is, when something goes wrong, or when one is offended, their reactions are typically human. Often times stories over-exaggerate character's reactions, whereby a 35-year-old man will suddenly resort to the emotional maturity of his inner 12-year-old. Thankfully, this is not the case for the residents of Holly Pointe. The story really painted a visual picture of the town, the shops, and all of the holiday festivities. If I lived in Vermont, I could see myself making an annual journey to this town just to partake in the celebrations. The story is a relatively clean romance that has just enough sauce to keep the reader energized. If you're looking for a fun, heartwarming holiday read, this is the book for you.
