Here's my "man explaining" moment. Not really an explanation per se, but a time when I felt marginalized because of my gender. Training group at my gym. Next exercise in rotation is a sledgehammer slam (slamming it against a huge tire). Three people in my group: me, a female friend, and a man. Three sledgehammers: two of one weight and another that is heavier. I end up with the heavier sledgehammer. Man says to me, "Do you want me to use that one?" My friend says that he asked out of politeness. My interpretation was, "Hey, little lady, I don't think you can handle that heavy sledgehammer." I told him no and proceeded to whack that tire as hard as I would. :)
