Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man by Mary L. Trump

2.0

As someone who had basically zero knowledge on Trump before picking up this book, I can tell you now, that I still know basically nothing. Most of the book focuses on the authors upbringing and stories of her fathers life(Donald’s brother) which, other than to prove that her grandfather was a bit of a knob, really did not seem relevant to Donald at all. She would name drop him every so often just him at the odd family event and that would be it. This book really should have been sold as her fathers biography rather than a psychological look into Trumps behaviour. The writing is good, and if that’s what I’d signed up for the I’m sure it would have been great, but overall I found it extremely dull and really struggled to get through it. So if you’re looking to learn more about Trump, then I do not recommend this book.
