Okay, this review is going to be controversial. I liked the movie better than the book, actually. I think the rival vampire storyline should have been extended and occurred sooner - and with the fight scene. I did think the book was better about flushing out the Cullen family, and Jasper was way more interesting than in the movie (where he's kind of weird). Still, the biggest drawback for me was the constant gushing by Bella about Edward's beauty. In the end, though, I like the story, and I will be reading the rest.
