4.5 Stars - Almost exceptional
Mindboggling and seemingly nonsensical, but it's really not. There's not much else I can add to the many that have written extensively about this book, except to say that if you enjoyed Plath's 'Bell Jar' you might enjoy this, as I drew parallels in the larger theme of watching a woman spiral into depression in Plath's book akin to the spiral into PTSD in 'Slaughterhouse Five' (albeit in very different ways).
A fascinating insight into the horrors of war and what it does to a mind.
