as a children/middle grade book it is pretty good. I do like the writing style, makes it really easy to read. there are some things that I don't get about this book and felt like something was missing, but it is a series so I'm hoping those things will be explain in the next book, which I don't know if I'm going to read to be honest. But yeah, this is definitely a children's book so keep that in mind.
