Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

3.0

My rate: 3,5 stars

What can I say about this book, the story about Jack the Ripper in this version was intriguing and for the first half of the book I was very curious about the mystery and also about the main character. Nevertheless after that first half of the book I felt the story dragging, moving to very chaotic direction. Many scenes happened out of sudden. In the second half I've managed to guess who was Jack the Ripper so the ending wasn't that much surprising. Also I felt that the final chapters had been dragged that I didn't feel even being connected to the main character and her sorrow.
In general I lost interest for the characters. The romance in the story was guided in a way that I couldn't really feel it. Once the chemistry was and then it was gone, especially when Audrey heard some clear words between the sarcasm and she seemed to not even care.
I expected more from this book, especially after hearing the hype around it. It wasn't the worst book but it wasn't the one I'm going to remember.
