I absolutely love this beautiful love story. It's smart, sexy, and completely swoon-worthy, and so addicting that I could not stop listening! Carys Johnson is passionate and driven to make her mobil plant care business a success. Her best friend is Tate Brewer, the younger brother to Gannon Brewer. Gannon runs his family business and is so consumed by it that he is grumpy and only has time for his family. When Carys proposes to take care of the plants in his building, he pushes her off. He has been attracted to her ever since Tate brought her home during college, which makes her forbidden. But Carys is determined to convince him to hire her, and their inuendo laden banter is hilarious and sizzling hot! When Gannon finally hires her, they are helpless against their growing desires. They start a secret affair, neither wanting a relationship. But soon when Gannon feels valued, cared for, and appreciated by Carys, and she feels supported and respected by the kind and caring Gannon, will they find the courage to ask for more? This is an amazing story that proves just how much age is just a number, and how love can triumph over any and all obstacles. I loved Carys' strength and confidence, and how Gannon made me swoon with his honor, thoughtfulness, and his deliciously dirty ways behind closed doors. He and Carys were so perfect for each other, and their chemistry is off the charts, and leaves you breathless! Their journey is fun, complicated, heartbreaking, secretive and emotionally touching and beautiful, and I loved cheering for their HEA! I also loved all the family and friends who added so much humor, and heart to this story. I also love a great epilogue and this one made me completely happy!
Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan narrate this captivating story beautifully. I loved how they nailed these characters so perfectly, making them their own. Rocca perfectly expressed Carys' growth into a woman who believed she was worthy of all her dreams. Calihan easily portrayed the complexity that is Gannon from the reserved man in the beginning to the caring, thoughtful, loving man he truly was all along. I loved everything about this addictive, beautiful romance!
