This was so cute. Definitely a teen novel, but it got me to giggle at the romance as an adult. Loved to see a trans Latinx boy as a main character & the romantic interest having no problem with that. The main tension in the story is the murder mystery, not the trans identity of the main character. Which I love.

I will say like 2/3 of the book is gay longing and 1/3 is plot/action. So the pacing was a little off for me, but I was encouraged to keep reading & I'm glad I did!
