I have a new favorite hockey romance. This book hits so many topics, mental health/therapy, plus representation, body insecurities, etc.

Evan Zanders is a NHL bad boy, playboy or at least he plays into this persona. Stevie Shay is a sassy, takes no crap flight attendant who will be on the team's plane all season. The was immediate friction between these characters and I loved it. Stevie wants absolutely nothing to do with Zanders and he makes it a goal of his to pursue her to change her mind. And once that changes....phew it's HOT. Character development with Zee and Vee was done tremendously well. I liked how the further I read into the story you pulled back more and more layers as to why they acted certain ways.

There’s SO MUCH to love about this, but it was the playful banter that really won me over at the start. It’s a very long book by a new-to-me author, so I knew that it’d need to have a strong start to have any chance of holding my interest – and it definitely did. I cannot wait for the next one to be released that will follow Stevie's brother Ryan and her friend Iris.

I recommend this one if you love enemies to lovers, force proximity-ish, hockey/sports romance.
