Thank you to PENGUIN GROUP Putnam and NetGalley for the arc copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Ellie and Ash meet while separately interrailing through Europe and immediately have a once in a lifetime connection. They decide to travel together, and spend the next 3 days falling in love. Both Ellie and Ash are grieving the loss of a loved one, which strengthens their connection. At the end of those 3 days, they agree to meet back up in a week in Madrid to continue their journey. However, Ash doesn't show, leaving Ellie devastated. She spends the next 6 years trying to forget him.

When Ellie lands her dream gardening job for a viscount, she is shocked to run into Ash, who coincidentally is the viscount's son. Their lingering connection is undeniable and Ash wants to spend time together, but Ellie is too hurt from the past. She also can't get over his romantic relationship with Beca, the friend he claimed he didn't have feelings for years ago. Ellie tries to keep her head down and work, but she cannot deny her pull to Ash. They both have hard choices to make and before long things get very complicated.

This is such an emotional rollercoaster of a book. I enjoyed the writing and the characters overall, although they were very immature at times and had major communication issues. I'm a sucker for second chance romance , and although there was some insta lust it wasn't cringy.

This was my introduction to Paige Toon and I am excited to explore her other work.
