Into This River I Drown by T.J. Klune

I can see how this book was the precursor to Klune’s later books, as it has a lot of the elements I’m starting to recognize as being characteristic in his writing. This book kind of leans into cliché a bit too much for my liking and I can’t say any of the characters or relationships in particular grabbed me. The overall vibe of the book was very interesting though, and that’s what made me stick with it to the end. Let’s just say while I did think this book was worth reading, I’m happy I got it at the library and didn’t spend my money on it 😂
