*When the Moon Hatched* was definitely a good read, despite being a bit confusing in the beginning. The story really picks up in the later chapters, especially with the shift in POVs. Those moments added depth and made the story feel more layered.

Elluin leaving Kaan because she was forced to wasn’t a surprise. Kaan, as a character, was one of my favorites. I did like their love story, even though Raeve is very much a difficult person. Raeve was honestly annoying.

There were some missing pieces. I felt like the world and the dragons could have been described in more detail. The setting was interesting, but I wanted more immersion—more vivid descriptions that would make it easier to picture everything.

One thing I really appreciated was how *When the Moon Hatched* felt more complete than books like *Fourth Wing*. It makes you think, and it expects you to engage with it—sometimes even referring back to the glossary. It’s refreshing to read a book that doesn’t spoon-feed everything.

Overall, while there were a few things I wish had been expanded on, I enjoyed the book.
