Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood

5.0

This book, dare I say, broke the Ali hazelwood reylo trope??? Hear me out: is she tiny and quirky? Yes. Is he a literal mountain of a human? Also yes. But for me (and maybe my lack of reylo literacy is showing here) I didn’t see the resemblance beyond that? If you don’t like that Ali hazelwood writes the same book in different fonts, maybe skip this one? I however live and die in trope land, and Ms. Hazelwood provided me the food I needed.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the conflict, and I thought their relationship was super endearing. The banter??? Chefs kiss. Im always a ho for He falls first AND he falls harder in one book. I thought their argument at the end was well handled and well resolved. Loved the aro/ace rep with Greg and thought maybe we were hinting at it with Elsie??

Definitely one of my favorite rom coms od the year. Despite his tragically boring name, Jack Turner-smith is a new all
time fav mmc.
