A Stab in the Dark by Suzannah Rowntree
5.0
Another excellent entry in the Miss Dark series from Suzannah Rowntree! If you loved the others in the series, you'll love this one; it's full of all the good things you find in the other books. Molly and Vasily are both in top form (both individually and as a couple), and Molly does some wrestling with who she is and who she wants to be (which the author handled very well). I also loved the continued arcs for Mimi, Nijam, and Alphonse, especially Mimi and Alphonse. The story was excellent, the mystery was highly dramatic and exciting, and the climax was top-notch. Also! So many fun references to pick up on, several of which gave me a good giggle.
This would be an excellent conclusion to the series . . . but, gloriously, it's NOT; there's going to be a book six, and I am OVERJOYED. Thank you, Ms. Rowntree, for continuing to bless us with this crew and their delightful antics.
