Stir: My Broken Brain and the Meals That Brought Me Home
by Jessica Fechtor
This book is an easy read and has a little bit of everything: cooking, memoir, and medical/health issues. The memoir portions are a little wordy and dramatic, but they depict her memories associated with food. I really enjoyed reading how she adapted in the kitchen due to poor depth perception and loss of smell and how she learned to cook in a different way.
The recipes aren't what I was expecting and there are only a few I'm looking forward to trying. So I'd say that part of the book was a disappointment for me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
