Beneath the Indigo Sky

Really heartfelt, with lots of deep looks at the facets of grief and living with grief. I enjoyed the authors take on the subject, and as someone who lives with a deep and profound grief like the characters in this book (a twin, a spouse, a child), I found myself enjoying the way they allowed it to unfold. It will certainly not be for everyone, and the prose can waffle at times and feel repetitive in its course, but overall the themes deserve the time spent on them.
As for the love story, very sweet and I really enjoyed it. Side characters were few but loved the father figure here. Supernatural elements were interesting, I didnt mind them at all. Plot drivers were realistic and made sense for the setting, but god is it sad. A brutal but realistic setting for them.
