4.5* rounded up. to be honest my original review pretty much encapsulates exactly how i feel about yellowface. i still loved it this time around, loved the writing, june, how it was still thought-provoking. the only reason i am knocking off half a star is that for me, i want a 5* book to make me feel exactly (or as close as possible to) the way i felt when i read it the first time. babel did this, yellowface didn’t quite - but i still had so much fun rereading this.
