So here's the thing... men are assholes and are nothing but perverts in this book. Yes I liked it so much more then the movie which I found boring and poorly paced. But the book is very much not that it's faster the characters are more realistic for better or worse. They were real people with real flaws and real problems rather then Disney preteen movie protagonists and their friends who are just there to feed the main characters ego...
