Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

More of a 4.5/5 stars.

But man, this book has me feeling a type of way. There are just so many elements found in this book that resonates with me personally. The tennis. The perfectionism. The father-daughter dynamic. I disliked Carrie because I honestly, truly understood her. The love she has for her father, for her passion, for success. And being a bit cold-blooded because of it.

There were definitely a few cheesy moments that I could've done without (some of the same problems I'd had with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. But overall, this book just hits me a bit harder than normal, so I have to give it a rating that reflects that.

Bravo! What a way to start the year.
