What I've noticed is that people tend to feel one of two ways about this book; they either really love it or really hate it. I found myself to be in a middle grounds of sorts.
I did like how Daniel Handler built a world for this story.

all the movies in the book are basically created for Min.

Unfortunately, I felt Min should have been...angrier with Ed in her letter?

if I got cheated on and I decided to write a "why we broke up" letter...it'd be a lot angrier than hers was.

Ed was a jerk the entire time; the tone for how he was as a character was set within the first two items.

he showed late on first date with a lame excuse? really?

I feel like I wanted more from this, but it felt slow and fell flat in some parts.
