If I could give this 6 stars I would! My favorite book of 2025 so far!
I adored Every Summer After and the nostalgic feeling of childhood summers that it brought. One Golden Summer takes that feeling further into a mature reflection of summers past and how to regain that feeling as an adult.
I have been patiently (or not) waiting for Charlie’s story after the tumultuous part he played in Every Summer After. I was hoping he would get a redemption arc but truly he got so much more. He was witty, flirty, caring, and charismatic in all the ways we love a MMC to be.
I savored the last few chapters of this one because I just didn’t want it to end. This is the perfect summer read for that truly “golden” feeling.
