An opposites’ attract, slow-burn interracial romance that starts as a Vegas wedding-marriage of convenience situation for a female CEO and male Formula 1 driver. Simone Soltani is a new to me author and I had no trouble treating Ride With Me as a standalone contemporary romance.
Stella got left at the altar and shows up for her bestie’s bachelorette party, anyway. Thomas is having drama with family and his racing career so he slips into his friend’s stag party. They sizzle with attraction and they wake up married. At first, divorce, but no, divorce would be bad for both their career reps. So, why not make it work for them?
They become friends and support to one another, they banter and feel the attraction grows into something deeper. Thomas falls first and adores Stella, showing her in so many little ways. Stella is a harder shell to crack, resisting longer than Thomas and keeping to the original rules they set up.
Sports romance with a Vroom and a baker millionaire who can flirt her way around the kitchen with a “fake” hubby. I enjoyed two competent career people finding love where they least expect it.
