Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall
2.5
Ok, so... in spite of the hype for this book, I must confess I did not like it.
The way it was built was fine, with the back and forth between timelines, and the trial, and with the short chapters. This helped keep the interest, as we wanted to see what was going to happen and with the short chapters we were always going one more chapter...
But the story itself, as well as the characters and the predictability did not work for me.
I saw some reviews saying they liked no one except Frank. Well I didn't even like Frank.
So yeah. I was excited about this book because everyone was saying it was beautiful, but nah... unfortunately, not for me.
