This book was so fast paced and thrilling. I loved the overlapping stories of all the characters, creating different political angles, personal relationships, and most of all intriguing secrets. Reisa and Han and their collection of baggage and exes is just a wild ride to hold on to. The flow of conflict and chaos is balanced well with moments of personal victory and sweet moments of beginning relationships. Each character is not simply good or evil but acts with particular and complex interests. This creates a web of intention and emotion so riveting to follow. Amon and Reisa’s conversation on how they cannot be together in any way emptied my chest and had me yearning and crying for them both. I am so invested in these characters and their survival. :) on to the next one!!
