Wood You Rather? by Daphne Elliot

4.0

This is the third book in the series, and I love it!

Pascal (Paz), a Gagnon brother and fin bro to lumberjack, asked Parker, an ex-cop turned PI to help solve his father's murder. But because he's in a super small town, his family suggests that Parker is undercover as his (fake) girl friend who is a writer, and she stays with him in his house. Paz is a consummate neat freak, and Parker can be walking chaos. Living together and solving this is definitely a combustible mix. This had the perfect mix of angst + tension, without being too much.

Also nice anxiety rep in this book - thought it was handled really well by the author.

Tropes: Forced proximity, fake-relationship, small town
