Lady Maggie's Secret Scandal by Grace Burrowes

4.0

Lady Maggie has grown up as the oldest daughter, adopted by-blow, of a duke. She has turned away all potential suitors and at the age of thirty has accepted the quiet life she’s made for herself. But that quiet life is turned upside down when she loses something valuable and has to enlist the help of the Hon. Ben Hazlit to help her find it. To excuse their frequent meetings and discussions in the ton they have agreed to a false courtship so that they’re able to interact within the strict confines of society. Neither of them anticipated the sparks when they’re alone together but will Maggie’s secrets keep them apart?

Another great read from Grace Burrowes. Even though this is the fifth book in the series in my mind Ms. Burrowes is a fresh, new voice in historical romance. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series because they step out of the “normal” and provide a happily ever after for the outcasts of society. I was very excited to see that this series will be going through the remainder of the duke’s daughters so there should be three more novels after this one. Can’t wait for the next!
