I first read this when it was initially published - I can remember the book display and how much I loved it. It was totally different to anything else at the time.
That was over 25 years ago, but I'm very happy to say it was still as good on re-reading and remains one of my favourite books, with Barbara Erskine as one of my favourite authors. I've read almost everything she's written since, but I still think this one is the best.
