Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir
5.0
This book cannot be described using conventional means. If Gideon the Ninth was a beautiful, liturgical space opera, Harrow the Ninth made me feel like I woke up one day and discovered that everything I knew was a lie and that I was merely a handful of spinach going through a blender on the highest setting. If there was ever a moment where I felt like I knew what was going to happen next I was wrong in ways I couldn't even comprehend.
Being totally honest this book was a slog. Every detail matters, and if you aren't paying attention then you'll probably miss important details. That being said, it's an incredibly unique book with an engaging cast and a phenomenally executed premise.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this continues in the next book.
