I'm waffling between 3.5 and 4 ⭐s on this one. Brit Bennett's writing is absolutely stunninggg, and this book hit really close to home in ways I was not expecting. An exploration of motherhood, friendship, and family and the ways that we navigate those relationships within our flawed worldviews, I am not worthy of this gorgeous piece of literature.
Graphic: Death of parent, Abortion, and Suicide
Moderate: Infertility, Infidelity, and Sexual assault
