84 Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff

funny lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

5.0

An epistolary non-ficition that is like a novel in many ways. Charming and immersive, this story tells of a friendship that builds between an American woman, Helene, and an an ique bookshop in London.
The second part of the book, The Duchess of Bloomsbury tells of when Helene finally makes it to London. She meets so many different people, and gets to explore 'the only city she has ever wanted to visit'.

This book was recommended to me by my aunt when I was a teenager. I must have read it at least three times since. It's just charming. It's just a nice, relaxed story. No horrible-ness, no triggers for me, just a pleasant, cosy read. Enjoy!
