Okay hear me out… I liked this one.

I avoided this book for a long time because a lot of people were like “Ew it’s so incesty” blah blah blah. I love Penelope’s other series “Devils Night” so much though so I decided to give it a try. PD never shies away from taboo dark and out there topics tropes and characters. I love that about her.

The spice was spicing! For real.
It took me a minute to get used to Tiernan because to be honest the way she was handling the love triangle was annoying me. Like girl throw your conscience away! A threesome with two brothers is hot! It’s even more hot than bangin their dad! Girl live a little!

I wish that there was more time to develop Noah and Tiernans relationship as well as her relationship with Kaleb. They both felt a little rushed compared to her relationship with Jake. Either way things unfolded the way I thought they should.

My biggest issue with this book is the use of the familial terms (uncle, niece, cousin). Like we as readers know and the characters themselves know that they are not related at all.  So there is no real incest but stop calling him uncle when you are flirting with him! It’s gross! The flirting is not gross but the use of the familial terms while you are actively participating in raunchy activities is big nasty.
