I don’t think I liked this book as much as I loved the first in the series. I love the banter between Emily & Wendell, but his parts were lacking due to a major plot point. I didn’t feel nearly as charmed by the faeries of the inhabitants of St. Liesel as I did the villagers of Hrafnsvik, and the Danielle de Grey / Eichorn story fell relatively flat for me. Overall, the story was still enchanting and I am very interested in seeing what they get up to in the 3rd book.
