The first time I picked up this book I couldn't get into it at all, I found the letters at the beginning quite tedious. However, a few years later I picked it up again and LOVED it. Margaret Atwood is the queen of scene setting, she writes so beautifully and vividly I felt like I was there. I did still find the letters a bit tedious though..
