The Last Unicorn breathes magic and wonder into the porosity of the air around you through it's vividly vivacious prose. Each line encapsulates a tiny poem--takes an ordinary moment and makes a new life. The tale delicately balances joy and grief in a way that reminds you that life itself is magic simply because it is happening even when it appears at a stand still. There is not enough words to describe the affection I have for the unicorn and Molly Grue, and honestly, each of the characters. A lesson, a quest, the story is waiting for you to encounter.
"I am here now," she said at last.
And this is how the book will call you home.
