The story of Mace the "Hawaiian Hottie" and Stella =)
Stella and Mace were together several months ago but that's the past now. However when Stella is targeted like the other Rock Chicks in a war between the Hot Bunch and Sid a violent psychotic drug lord, she is once again confronted with Mace and has soon to decide whether she can open her heart once again at the risk of breaking it again ...
Ahhh I totally loved this book !! As I pointed out in my previous reviews, the series becomes darker but without compromising the quality : the author's style is still great, with humor, very romantic moments (the wedding of Indy and Lee but also when Stella sings for Mace and he came to kiss her on the scene ... Soooo cute ><), but also twists, thrills and heart-breaking moments (the story of Mace was just AWFUL but Stella's one was also very sad ...)
I liked that there are more different points of view like Jules' one who is totally pregnant (her bickering with Vance about the baby names was soo funny) but also Mace and Stella which gives a lot more depth to the story =)
Stella is just THE Rock Chick : a singer with a husky sexy voice (descriptions of her concerts were just WOW and I imagine her very well singing in my head !!), a strong character and an unique style of dress =D
Mace is like a box full of mysteries in a sexy packaging =) I loved his relationship with Stella and the fact that he's bossy but not too much ><
I don't want to spoil it but let's say the end was awesome (although a little sad)
The epilogue was a little weird because we found ourselves many years later and we discover what the heroes had become (especially Stella who had become a real star and Mace with his own agency in LA to be closer to Stella) and it's like it's the very end of the series but there are still two books so this epilogue spoil us a bit ... But it was nice anyway =)
A book full of emotion and rock'n'roll and I'm looking forward to read the next one about Hector =D
