The Other Mothers
by Katherine Faulkner
It’s just disheartening to be left out, especially from the elite mom group, feeling a little unwanted and feeling bad for your child. Then a slight invitation for coffee and breakfast pastries makes your wishes come true. Unless the group has way more time than you and way more money than you and you’re a big phony. Plus you’re trying to get your career back by investigation the death of a beloved nanny, which was ruled an accident and the mom group knows more than they are telling and being pushy means they push back and maybe you and your kid will end up with no friends. And what if you’re just creating a story that doesn’t exist, just to feel better about yourself. What if you lose your friends, your real friends, and your husband, and your life? Was it worth it? … Pretty good read. I liked it.
