I’m a huge fan of these two authors and their YA books so I was really excited about this one, especially since it seemed a little different than their usual romance route. It took me a little bit to really get into the story at first. I felt like I had been dropped in the middle of it and was lost, but as it got going, things were explained and I had a great time reading it. With heist stories, you absolutely have to suspend your belief in reality a little bit, but that’s was part of the fun for me. Olivia was a fantastic character who had a lot of depth and complexity to her. I loved her ragtag crew and how close they all became throughout the story. I did guess one twist, but it was a good one so I was not mad about it. Honestly, I’d love a book two if they’re up for it. I’d love to see these characters again, especially Kevin who was simultaneously cringey and endearing.
CW: infidelity, divorce, emotional abuse, mentions of a car accident
