Plague World by Alex Scarrow

5.0

Despite the horrifically bad, vomit-inducing cover that in no way matches the brilliant and shiny first two, this was a solid conclusion to the trilogy. For the most part, standard post-apocalyptic survival stuff but with a really original threat (or, at least a clever mash-up of various threats). I can’t go into much detail without giving away any spoilers to the previous books (or this one) but the ending is definitely one that’s not expected. Again, some lovely descriptions of the human body being melted by the virus, but seen in a very different light once certain facts are presented.
