A gentle story about a girl living with cerebral palsy who moves with her mother to Oklahoma to take care of her grandparents. Life in a small trailer is challenging enough but Ellie is also wheelchair bound. Ellie has never had true friends but makes two quick and quirky friends in Coralee and Bert, also from the trailer park. As school begins, she is pleasantly surprised to find out that kids at her new school aren't looking at her funny because she is in a wheelchair but because she is from "Trailerland."

The story is full of heart. Grades 5 and up.
