Another fun installment to the Small Spaces quartet! Ollie, Coco, and Brian are still trying to defeat the Smiling Man and this time they encounter a lake monster who destroys their boat leading them to be shipwrecked on a deserted island that's hidden from the outside world. Is it all related?
This book wasn't quite as good for me as the last installment unfortunately. I still very much enjoyed it though! I enjoyed the horror of the monster in the lake and the setting was atmospheric as always. However, I didn't feel we got to see quite as much of the character's personalities in this one. Also, the Smiling Man isn't nearly as involved as he has been previously. This book ends on a cliffhanger unlike the past two books, so I need to close out this series and see how it will end!
