Rodrick Rules
by Jeff Kinney
These books give me a good chuckle. They are the perfect mood enhancer. Plus, they are simple to finish in less than 2 hours.
Greg Heffley and his brother are constantly at odds with each other. The brothers do half-assed work on their school projects, they exhibit selfish behavior, and they constantly take their parents for fools. Of course Greg's parents figure things out and sometimes they dish out creative consequences. However, sometimes the kids are let off easy. From a parent's perspective (especially having boys), I can fully appreciate Greg's and Rodrick's antics.
What I appreciate more than anything in this story is The Mom Dance. Something I constantly threaten to embarrass my own boys with. Go Mrs. Heffley!
