Judge Dredd Megazine 409 by Dan Abnett, James Peaty, Arthur Wyatt, David Hine, Si Spencer, Alan Hebden
Judge Dredd: The Red Queen’s Gambit
The clipboard on the first page made me laugh out loud but from there it’s a pretty serious and tense setup. Good stuff.
Lawless: Ashes to Ashes
Great wrap up. I’m glad the Zhind matter and the artwork is astonishing.
Diamond Dogs
Not very economical with its storytelling. We’ll see where it goes.
The Returners: Chandhu
I remember feels this felt more image than 2000ad for the first story but it’s well drawn, funny and has nice quick character work
The Torture Garden
Landed nicely. Artwork suits the story very well and I’m glad the end wasn’t straightforward
Mind Wars: Volume Two
I’m not sure I need someone to say they’re on fire when the caption and art has already told me. Derivative story, clumsily told
