This book is the perfect book to start a series. All 3 of the main characters (mostly) were compelling, unique, and undeniably loveable. Rick can do no wrong. With this first book, he expanded on a world that was already so innately vibrant it bordered the seams of reality in my mind. We all knew there was going to be a new big bad for this series, safe to say, didn’t see that coming. The ending of this book truly had me squealing and pacing at the same time and I cannot wait to meet the rest of the prophecy kids. My only complaint, the pacing was a bit off and some of the side plots weren’t that immersive, making me desperate for my favorite parts. Nonetheless, I am PSYCHED for this series.
