 I really love this duology and all the characters SO MUCH!!! This book had me on the edge of my seat and I flew through it in a day, just like I did with the first book. The pacing felt a wee bit off to me and i would've loved if it was a wee bit longer, at least so we could find out

if they found a way to get the magic back

. I would absolutely love more books in this 'world' but overall I just love this series so much and I can't wait to read Isabel Sterling's next book! (also I was so happy to see a genderfluid character, even if they were only there for a short time!)
