I loved this. A unique world filled with flawed and sympathetic characters. Dark, but full of heart.
The main character, Jean, has a very believable voice as a young girl throughout childhood and adolescence. This can be hard to do, and is done so well here.
So many great details are revealed throughout the narrative. I'm excited to read Day Boy, which is set in the same world.
