johnaeryn 's review for:
Avid Reader: A Life
by Robert Gottlieb
upon reread i would put the writing of this book closer to 2 or 3 stars. though he has good voice, it's disorganized and needlessly dense, especially for a memoir. however, i think the fact that i found it interesting enough to read again in the first place is going to keep it at 4 stars. this book is certainly worth reading if you're interested in publishing, otherwise it probably would not be enjoyable.
