First things first, it should be noted that I PRE-ORDERED this ebook. PRE-ORDERED! I don't buy books. And I certainly don't pre-order them, but there's a first time for everything and I'm a huge fan of this series.

At this moment I really wish I had written reviews for the first three books in this series, Between the Lines, Where You Are, and Good For You. I read all three of them in the same week last year, the same week Sandy hit and I had an unexpected week off work. That was before I had this blog and when I was only occasionally reviewing books on Goodreads.

If you haven't read those three books I highly encourage you to do so. I don't think any of them are quite as good as Webber's Easy (my review), but they're not far behind. If you haven't read the first three books in this series I would recommend you stop reading this review now as there are spoilers for the first three books ahead.

When I first heard there was going to be a fourth book in this series I had kind of assumed it would be about Brooke. Emma and Graham's story had wrapped up pretty nicely in Where You Are and Dori and Reid were in a good place at the end of Good For You. It definitely wasn't unwelcome, but I was surprised, when I learned that this book would be about Brooke, but also about Reid and Dori.

Of all the books in the series I really loved Good For You, I loved Reid from the first book in the series, even when he was an insufferable idiot, and seeing him change over the course of Good For You and him getting together with someone like Dori (who I also loved) made me really happy. I was terrified that this book would be filled with a lot of unnecessary drama about Brooke coming between Reid and Dori.

Thankfully, and I don't think I'm spoiling anything here, the drama was mainly kept at a minimum. Dori and Reid had their issues, but they mainly revolved around Dori moving away to go to school, Dori still not feeling secure in her relationship with a hugely famous movie star, and Dori learning that Reid had a son with Brooke several years before. Reid really loves Dori and there was no drama about that, which I loved.

Surprisingly I wasn't dreading reading a book about Brooke. I definitely thought she was a massive bitch after reading the first two books in the series, but after reading Good For You I  felt more sympathetic towards her. I also have a lot of faith in Tammara Webber not to write a story about a completely unrelatable, evil character and she didn't disappoint here. I liked Brooke tremendously. Yes, she's kind of crazy and a little misguided at times, but she's had a tough life, despite the fact that she's a successful movie star, and I was really rooting for her to find some kind of happiness.

The part of the story I was most hesitant about going into it was the kid. The description doesn't mention the kid, but it does mention a secret between Brooke and Reid and having read the other books it's pretty obvious, not to mention there's a kid on the cover, that this will be about Brooke and Reid's kid. I still didn't love that part, I did love the different sides of Brooke and Reid that came out because of the kid, but I didn't 100% buy into the idea that what happened with the kid would actually happen. It just seemed very convenient.

Bottom Line: I didn't love this one as much as I loved Good For You, but I still enjoyed it. Honestly, I think (I hope!) I will love anything Tammara Webber writes and especially anything she writes about these characters. If you haven't read this series I suggest picking it up and if you started reading it and need to finish I suggest doing that, too!
