Peach Blossom Debt by Da Feng Gua Guo
3.0

“Never destined for each other and yet meeting; meeting thought it was never meant to be. High is the bright moon in the sky; within sight but far beyond reach.”

So I finally finished Peach Blossom Debt, and honestly, I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would, but I still liked it. Song Yao was funny at first, and I did enjoy some of the witty moments, but the story didn’t really grab me the way I hoped.
The romance was super slow burn, and while I usually love that, it felt a little too subtle for me. I kept waiting for more connection between the characters, but it just didn’t hit as hard as I wanted. Some parts were confusing, and even though it eventually made sense, I wasn’t fully invested.
There were definitely emotional moments, and the ending was bittersweet, but overall, I just didn’t feel as attached to the characters as I hoped. I still liked the story and can see why people love it, but it didn’t fully work for me. Maybe it’s just one of those reads that’s not for everyone.
